Green Flag Awards
In 2023, Apley Woods LNR was awarded Green Flag status, an award scheme that recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the UK and around the world. This was followed by the Volunteer Team of the Year award for the Friends of Apley Woods in recognition of their hard work in helping landowners Telford & Wrekin Council to manage and care for the site for both people and wildlife.
